Accident? Not Your Fault? I Have The Answers

OK, so here it is.....You've had an accident, it's bad enough that your car's damaged but what's next?

Well I spent the day in the office at +Gooch Accident they deal with all sorts of circumstances and they've got solutions for all of them.

Because of the high insurance premiums nowadays, most people take out a higher excess so the premium is low, this is fine until there's a bump!  This is usually where people want a price for the damage before going to their insurer.  This is a very wise move.  Why?  Because +Gooch Accident is the perfect place to go for a free estimate.  Not only that, but, they go steps further to help you get the advice you need.

What advice? You ask.  Well, did you know that they can offer you a substantial discount on their labour rate if you need to pay for it yourself? No? Well they can.  They'll also talk to a person that has caused your damage so you don't have to.  They'll talk through with them the damage they've caused (because most people think it's just a £50 repair!), they'll explain the repair procedure and subsequent costs and then they'll suggest the best option for everybody concerned, after all, why would you pay for repairs when you have protected no claims discount and £50 excess.....you wouldn't if the repairs were going to be £1000.  However, if you haven't got protected no claims discount and you have a £500 excess then there's some thinking to be done.

+Gooch Accident "They're not like any other bodyshop, they really do care!" This is what the customers say and if you want to check that out for yourself then just go to http://www.thebestof.co.uk/local/lowestoft/search?q=gooch&location=Lowestoft
Personal recommendations and word of mouth is what +Gooch Accident rely on for their continued business.

So I hope you don't have an accident but if you do then contact +Gooch Accident

East Coast Community Healthcare Visits Gooch

Jason Harwood invited Abi Howes from East Coast Community Healthcare (ECCH) to make a presentation to the staff at +Gooch Accident yesterday.  The presentation explained how Abi and her team can help everyone benefit from the resources available to them through ECCH. A monthly newsletter with the latest information, quit smoking help and regular onsite blood pressure health checks were just a few of the options given to staff to take advantage of.  Abi is set to be a regular visitor to the workplace to compliment the rest of the health checks already available to the staff.  Jason certainly takes the well-being of his staff very seriously and is keen to support a healthy, happy working environment.

Breakfast With Jason, Director Of Gooch Accident Repair Centre

What a wet start to the day! But it was anything but wet at the breakfast meeting in Rookery Park Golf Club.  The breakfast club, held once a month by thebestoflowestoft is open to anyone in business in the local area and today I went along with Jason Harwood, Director of Gooch Accident Repair Centre Ltd.

Somehow, I was nominated by Jason to introduce myself as people came through the door while he mingled with everyone else.  I think I had the easiest role compared to Jason as he ended up on stage as a volunteer for the presenter of the morning, Tosin Ogunnusi from +Think! Training & Consultancy .  Tosin shared his knowledge and skills with everyone (in a very "hands on" presentation) in the development of personal presentation, which made his audience, smile, laugh and nod with contemplation.  To appreciate his true value, Tosin has to be seen to be believed, follow the link to find out what you're missing out on.

Further oportunities to meet fellow business leaders followed on  from the presentation and one of them was Steve Burgess, Director of Wyse Media (uk) Ltd.  I could see Steve and Jason chatting at the table over breakfast and heard my name mentioned a few times so I wonder what's going on there? Steve Jones from Jones Financial Planning and Charlotte Catchpole from IP Twentyone are always good people to meet up with to bounce a few bear related ideas around with.

I had a final chat with +Ian Carter and +Wendy Takman before heading back to the bodyshop where a busy day ensued.....parking sensors to be painted for a local dealership.

Me as a lady!!

Thats right everyone, I was dressed as a lady for the day! It was to gain me entry into Lowestoft and Waveney's newest, ladies in business, networking club, the venus lunch club. As usual I was there representing Gooch Accident Repair Centre. I used one of their courtesy cars to get to the event which was held at the Carlton Manor in Carlton Colville.
Wow what a welcome I received. First I was greeted by Sarah (co-host of the club) who gives you your personalised name badge, then I met up with Wendy (host of the club) who straight away introduced me to Emma Ratzer (Chief Executive of access community trust)who shared with me some of the work and projects that the trust organise in the local area.
Refreshments were plentiful throughout the event, which was a jolly good job with all the talking that was taking place. It's impossible to get around to talking to everyone because everyone you meet is so interesting and you find yourself so engrosed that before you know it, it's time for the presentation.
At each event there's a different speaker, this time, it was Michelle Payne of The Upstairs Gallery in Beccles. Michelle is an elite lifcaster and seems extremely passionate about the work she does. I'm not going to go into detail about the presentation because that'll spoil it for you, make sure you have a look at her work for yourself and try to meet up with her at the gallery, you won't be dissapointed. I wonder if she'd lifecast me? Michelle, what do you think? Maybe I could start off with just spending a day with you to see what's involved, before I bear all.
Lunch was served and this gave us all more time to network, this time I chatted with Amanda Scarff and Rachel Alcock from Cunninghams and Jan Stammers from Millie Rose. I asked Amanda and Rachel a few cheeky questions about how they think I should keep my accounts in order and Jan was super knowledgeable about her particular line of work within Millie Rose which is hair extensions. Another quick chat to Wendy about a teddy bear's picnic idea over a lucious piece of cake and then it was the end, I couldn't believe how time had flown, two and a half hours had gone by like half an hour.
On the way out I met up with Ian from thebestoflowestoft, apparently he's on hand to help set everything up, dissapears out of the grasps of all the women that attend and then reappears to help dismantle all the "staging". Apparently he's got a Twitter Tweeting Session happening on a Tuesday 7-8pm so I'm really going to try hard next week to get myself set up on Twitter, so for those of you who love to Tweet please keep an eye out for me as I may need some tips along the way.

The Day I Spent With Cosmic Car Care..........

For those of you who don't know, Cosmic Car Care is part of Gooch Accident Repair Centre. The "Cosmic Van" goes out and about to customers home addresses or work places to carry out mobile cosmetic repairs. If the weather isn't too good then the customers vehicle can be repaired back at Gooch where there's a "Smartbooth" especially for cosmetic (smart) repairs. Things like, bumper and mirror scuffs/scratches and interior seat and trim repairs can all be carried out at the fraction of bodyshop costs. The great thing is that no matter how small or large the damage is and what vehicle you have, between Gooch and Cosmic you can be assured that you'll get the best price for your repairs. If you want to call them, try Gooch on 01502 531660 or Cosmic on 07788 712244. I spent the day with Steven who showed me how he saves his customers money by using his techniques that keep repair costs to a minimum, see the pictures here and don't forget more pictures can be found at www.facebook.com/GoochAccidentRepair just like the page and keep up to date with some of the latest news and offers.

Last nights pictures....

The night started well with all sorts of requests for photographs (as you can see) including the lovely Helen Mcdermott, I think she mentioned her friend BC when she whispered in my ear. The tables @The Cliff Hotel, Gorleston, were looking good until I had a slight incident with the wine (yes that was me, my appologies) the night progressed well, very humbling to hear the nominations and a fantastic honour to be included in the presentation photo and just look at the size of the awards! A special thanks to my minder for the evening...D.F...without whom I would never have found my way home.

In preparation for my big night.....

So this was me @Maxwells in Lowestoft yesterday, Carrie made sure that I was looking my very best....we decided the hair extensions weren't suitable for this event but maybe more suited to my Venus Lunch Club next week.

WOW what a night, thanks to The Beach Radio

Well that was a night! You'll see my photos on here later today.
