News just in today (19th Dec.) total raised on the day and with the sponsored chest wax (not mine thankfully) £422 Well done to all those who made this happen.
Saturday 30th November was a chance for locals to grab themselves some real bargains while donating to the East Coast Hospice. The event, run by local business owner Sandra Liddell, had many different rooms filled with cakes, cards, clothes, jewellery, toys, books and materials all at a very reasonable price and whilst I was having a look around I was offered tea, coffee & mulled wine along with scrumptious homemade scones. Further rooms hosted other local, small businesses such as, That's Pretty, offering a whole array of bespoke handmade crafts, clothing and accessories, Just For You, offering Neil's Yard Remedies at a reduced price and Lowestoft Scentuals offering beautiful scented candles with every reading by Salix Lea.
I bought some raffle tickets and had a go at guessing the black dogs name...I went with Rocky...I'm hoping I win so that "Rocky" can join in our adventures. I say "our" adventures because I have a new friend, some of you may have seen us together on my Facebook and Twitter pages and tweets, he is the East Coast Hospice bear (you too can have one if you make a donation) I'm hoping he'll join me later next year on the Teddy Bears Picnic so keep an eye out for the date.
Well, with all the browsing there was just a few things left to do before I went home, a purchase of homemade marmalade, piccalilli, and chocs. and a look at the Pampered Chef brochure.
